At a time when everyone is working very hard to save money anyway they can, I thought Coupons.com would be a great way to help save on groceries. Coupons.com advertises that they have the largest database of on-line coupons you can print for free. It has been my experience in the past few months of utilizing their site that over 50% of the coupons posted and offered are NOT supported by the retailers detailed in the coupon. LATEST EXAMPLE: there are quite a few coupons listed for "Walmart Purchases Only". Their are other for Target, etc. As well. However, if you print the coupon, (in this case La Croix sparkling water) which has Walmart clearly stated on the coupon as the only retailer to redeem the coupon, the coupon not only is not accepted, it doesn't even scan at the cashier's station stating that it is for the item printed on the coupon.in addition, having the cashier manually enter the info does not work either.
This is an example of many of the frustrations I have been through with this site. I would like others to know this before they spend time on line with this service, it is not worth the time to utilize their service, especially since over 50% of their coupons are bogus.
This could just be a ploy by the site to get kickbacks from manufacturers and retailers to having Coupons.com direct the customer to the site and to their brand.
