My husband and were on vacation in Suprise Az. And ate at the Red Lobster July 2. I was warned that there is racial bias in Az., but I didn't believe until I ate at this particular establishment. I began to feel uncomfortable by the staff and manager and their lack of friendliness toward me, they were cool and unwelcoming. I ordered my meal, but the staff did not interact with me after that, my husband was asked how he liked his meal many times, the manager also came to our table and conversed with my husband. The manager talked to my husband as if my husband were eating alone. The staff made no eye contact with me, and did not smile. I thought this was the 21st century and all customers were welcomed. I felt like crying, because this has never happened to me. The color of my skin should not dictate how I should be treated. I am well educated with a Master's degree. I work hard and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
