I took my five year old granddaughter and her best friend as well as my niece/godchild to applebees in greenfild, ma last night for dinner. I live in central connecticut and took a three day trip with them sightseeing and to just go away and relax and have fun before school starts. The girls had ordered chicken with applesauce and when it came i read the package of the applesauce and was shocked by the amount of corn syrup and high fruitos syrup in it. This was a child's meal and it was more sugar than anything else. I gave them the choose of eating that or having dessert, they both decided to have an ice cream sundae instead. I ordered the sundae listed on their menu and ordered the chocolated cake for my niece and i to share. Theirs came and they enjoyed them but ours never arrived, even when the waiter kept saying he forgot and would be back with it. He then brought me the bill with the girls sundaes priced thirty cents extra each. When i brought that to his attention he asked if i really wanted him to fix it.By the way our dessert was not on it as we never got it. It seems his mind was on something else and not on serving us what we ordered. It will take me awhile before i go back to an applebees again for sure.
