I saw a TV ad for $5 subs at Quiznos, showing a "5 meat stack" sandwich with meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, etc. And saying "more meat than Subway". So I went to my local Quiznos in Cypress. There was no literature or signs about the $5 sub. When I asked for it, they seemed confused, but finally made the sandwich. I got home and was shocked. It had only a little pile of meat and dry bread (not even enough meat to show out the sides when the sandwich was closed!). I called them to complain, and they said you have to ask for anything other than meat and cheese (like lettuce), that they had followed the franchise "recipe" by just giving me bread and meat and cheese (not even any condiments). I explained that my sandwich didn't even have cheese on it — then they said I could have 10% off next time I came in because leaving off the cheese was their mistake. The sub on TV had all kinds of veggies, 5 meats stacked high, cheese, etc. I actually took pictures of the sub I got and it looks nothing like what they show on TV. The franchisee also told me that they get a lot of complaints that the sandwiches look nothing like what they see on TV, and said that is the franchise's fault. I called Quiznos' corporate office and complained, and they never contacted me back. I'll never eat at Quiznos again. I used to think they were better than Subway — now I see they are even worse than Subway. Togos is the only good sandwich chain left, and there are none near me. Quiznos is a rip off!
