I've gone to this McDonald's for years. They've never been worse, never been better. They have constantly sucked. But of course, this is the norm for McDonald's. I usually have to go through the drive-thru, since I certainly don't want to be around the workers or most of the customers inside. Of course, the parking lot is so horribly designed it is hard to park. If you do find a spot, you risk being blocked in by the drive-thru line when you want to leave.
I am always rushed by the cashier when I get to the speaker box. Usually, the confirmation screen does not work, and they don't repeat the order for you. After diligently repeating my order, I am rushed to pull ahead and the cashiers act annoyed when I try to verify the specifics of my order.
I am nearly always asked to pull forward after I am handed my sodas. After rolling my eyes and trying to indicate that this is unacceptable, I wind up pulling up. A worker will bring my food and run back into the building as quickly as possible. I have no chance to check my food for accuracy.
I finally got them the other day. We ordered a couple of meals, one of them being chicken mcnuggets. They asked me to pull forward, as they were holding on the mcnuggets. I very quickly informed them that they would be refunding my money for everything and trashing the parts of the order they had so far assembled before I would pull forward.
Of course, they were not used to anyone standing up to the pull forward policy. A manager came, and said that since so much time had elapsed due to me so far holding up the line, my food would be ready very soon and I could wait at the window.
My food came, and I told the girl I needed sweet and sour sauce, I wanted three of them, I didn't care, I would give them the fifteen pennies they ask for the third sauce. I always keep plenty of change under my ashtray that is dirtier than hell to give people like this. And for amounts up to fifty cents, it's can usually be mostly filthy, ashy, pennies (spilled, dried, soda can be expected). She than said all the sweet and sour was in the basement, and no one could get it for me. I told her I had specified the sweet and sour at the speakerbox, and if they hadn't rushed me, they could have told me no sweet and sour was available.
I then told her my meal was ruined, I wanted my money back on everything, as we would now have to go to Wendy's, as the chicken was not for me, but for my passenger. My food would get cold as I trekked to Wendy's to get my passenger's meal. The girl, who was suffering from heavy rosacea, promptly burst into tears. A manager came and gave me my money.
I felt and still feel very satisfied that these grease slinging monkeys could feel the frustration I feel nearly everytime I went to their store.
