Well after being seated by the very high wait staff. You know people can tell these things, they're not being discreet. There were about 8 staff members to the 3 tables but some how it took an hour to get the already made pie. For 30 minutes we were told our waitress would be by eventually. My husband order Carrot Cake and after 30 minutes we were told they didn't have any thawed out. They informed us they "couldn't like cut it like that cuz it was like hard." It seems like they could have done it while we were waiting though. Our table was also soaking wet and when noticing this they made no effort to correct it. They had an obviously drugged up friend sitting at various tables until they had to move her because someone needed to sit at it. There were often 4 at a time "hanging out" with this person.
Our last offense that we could take was getting an iced tea where the glass was covered in mayo. We smelled it to check and man we hope it was only mayo. Since it was a brand new glass from the back and none of us had mayo, we knew who's fault it was. Well we waited about 20 minutes for a waitress again to complain. After having them stare at our table while we flagged them over and do nothing we went to the front counter to wait for the manager.
We almost left from having to wait 15 minutes to pay our bill when there was no line or staff in sight. Finally we discuss this with the manager and the kind gentleman that he is, he offers to take the carrot cake off the bill for us. Which is great but we never had carrot cake. So he then asks "what is the problem? The tea is still fine" Then the waitress comes running up to us yelling at us that we did it. This was amazing and appalling as her and the manager stood there screaming at us (literally). We finally threw the money at them and left. There was obviously no tip in store for those complete morons.
This is very much a matter for the health dept on top of the horrible service. Disgusting practices like this make people sick. My mother is allergic to vinegar and would have been in the hospital from something like that. Places like this need to be investigated and shut down.
