I myself have had this problem online I "own" 2-3 properties from EVERY color and railroad. I have tried to enter codes and have had the site lock up on me the closer I get to actually winning. At first when I first started to play no problem... But then as my board filled up the site would lock up and force me to close my browser and re-open it up and re-enter the code and then it wouldn't accept it saying it was used already! Wtf! I was pissed. First off, one this wasn't a "gliche" in the system it was like everytime I did it no matter what time of day I did it it would still malfunction. Second, I felt like it was calling me a liar!
I also have problems with the lack of super size cups and french fry boxes available. I have gone to McDonald's so many times that I'm sick of it now just try to win something! Only to find out after I paid and left that the restruants are giving out regular cups and fry boxes without codes and peices. I have been all over the map just to go to McDonald's and collect these pieces and it happens too frequently... I feel like I got screwed. One lady gave me just the wrapings of a hashbrown to compensate for the super size drink cups that didn't have game pieces on them. That was nice of her but, the game is almost over now.
My other problem with the online game is now that I'm closer than ever to winning when I "roll" the dice I'm counting the spaces before my "token" moves and it either shorts me a space where I would have won (I was supossed to win 10,000 dollars!!!) or it moves an extra space but either way I don't land on the right one. Not to mention I somehow always land on the property I already "own". I have entered 10 pieces (max allowed) everyday for a full straight week and I ALWAYS land on the properties that I don't need!!!
Oh, well once again McDonald's has lured me into spending more money just to have a "chance" to win. The only thing I actually "won" was a freakin' 20 dollar download of the game monopoly. Woohoo. I know next year I will not play this game I will give away my peices to other suckers out there or just trash them. There is no point. Beware of McDonald's stupid monopoly... They just want you to spend more money... That's it... They don't want u to win.
