On Monday, July 24, I ordered some carry - out from Siam 815 to take home for dinner. I had called to order my dinner at approximately 7:45 P.M. That night and picked it up shortly after 8:00 P.M.
What I had specifically ordered was a small green salad (item #26 on their menu) and item #36, which was Noodles Rama.
So I picked up the items 15-20 minutes later, paid $15.55 on my debit card for the items, and headed home. (I live 20-30 minutes away, and by the time I got home it was close to 9:00 P.M.)
To my surprise, the restaurant had packed the wrong items to give to me - they had given me items a dish that consisted of clear, vermecelli - type noodles, vegetables, and an appetizer of Kai fa (two stuffed chicken wings with crab meat).
So, I called them immediately and spoke with Kenny, one of the wait staff, and explained the situation. He was very nice and apologetic, and said that I could come back in and order a meal for the same amount of money at no charge, since I had been slighted. Easy solution, right?
Well, being the busy professional that I am, I thought that I would call in today (Wednesday, July 26) to order my free lunch from them. Not only did they refuse to do this for me and treated me as though I was lying, but made it very difficult and frustrating process. I finally got through to the owner, who was not helpful in the least (not believing that my account was true, refusing to give me my money back unless I returned the meal, etc.) which I found totally outrageous.
This was THEIR mistake; I was NOT going to drive all the way back 30 minutes from my home that Monday night to exchange the items; I thought it could be resolved within the next couple of days. Boy, was I wrong.instead, I was treated as the bad person - no apologies what so ever from this owner, and rude customer service skills.
I want my $15.55 back, and an apology.
