We live close to and would like to go to Popeye's for dinner but the last few times have not been pleasant and unless changes are made we will not go back. The restaurant is dimmy lit and is NEVER clean. Two weeks ago when I went in to get chicken to take home for dinner at DINNER time - I was told it would take 12 minutes to cook chicken - I would think a chicken restaurant would have chicken cooked. I did not wait! Last night I took 2 grandchildren for dinner at dinner time. There was not a clean table in the place and there was paper trash on the floor yet the 2 women working were engaged in a DEEP converstation with another customer and a baby problem with her daughter. I stood there waiting to order being ignored until I said could you help me and then one girl reluctantly took my order. She did not ask if it was to go or eat in and we had planned on eating there but was served in a box. While we were eating I again heard that other customers having to wait as they cooked chicken. We eat dinner as most people do in the area of 5 PM and I would think it would be a good time to have food prepared to go. Unless changes are made in attitude toward waiting on customers and the place is cleaned up we will not go back.
Chicken is good so what a shame that a restaurant in a neighborhood is so poorly ran.
