Osaka Kappo Japanese Restaurant
Arrogant New Owners, Bad Fish, Terrible Presentation. These people doesn't know anything about SUSHI! Ripoff

Do not be fooled! This is NOT the same well-reputed Japanese restaurant anymore; it is now under new management since May and owned by Koreans.

We ordered "All-You-Can-Eat" sushi when waitress told us she will give us 20% discount off from $24.95 because it was close to one hour before their closing time and also because it we have a birthday in our party.

When our food arrived we were shocked to see how UGLY the once delicately-done sushi is presented before us.

The fish on the sushi doesnt looked and taste fresh at all, and I had to ask the waitress if theres any difference in quality of fish they use between All-You-Can-It sushi and single ordersKshe repliedKthe same!

Sushi rice was hard, tasteless, and hot. It is not even sushi rice (which should be mixed with rice vinegar, sugar and always cold.)

The size of the rice they used under the sushi was RIDICULOUS!!! The portion of the rice was as big as my palm.

The spicy tuna hand roll was a mess!!! Seaweed wrapper was wet and rice was coming out from everywhere.

We told the waitress very nicely, again, that we don't want to waste food so if she can tell the chef to reduce the amount of rice by 50%. She was very nice and checked with chef but came back and told us "NO, because you ordered All-You-Can-Eat" (Which means they want to stuff you up with bad rice so you eat less fish.)

By this time we were very much disappointed at the food and their attitude, all we wanted to do was pay and leave.

As the waitress come back with our check, she told us not only she and her "Partner" (looks like her mother) couldn't give us the 20% discount we agreed before we ordered, she is going to charge us 20% MORE for the left over rice! WHAT?

To make the experience even worse, a short, older woman came out from the kitchen, looking arrogant and started to argue with us, part English, part Korean!

I tried to explain the quality of the fish, and how sloppy the chief had prepared the food. GUESS WHAT? She started to flourish her hands hysterically, almost hitting my face at a point, and said she doesn't want to discuss about the quality of the food, she only wanted to discuss about the left over rice!

Since it was my wife's birthday, didn't want to make her feel bad, so we just stood up and paid CASH ONLY! So I paid and requested a receipt. Again, NO RECEIPT available since they just took over the restaurant!

As we were rushing out of this horrible place, the same older lady even sarcastically shouted Have a nice day!!! Behind us.

At the parking lot, customer from another table, witness of the whole scene, told us he is very disappointed, not only the food he ordered tasted awful, even his 8 years son could not stomach it, but most importantly, these new owners surely ruined the good reputation of the original Japanese old-couple-owners strived to build over past many years!

We have NEVER, NEVER seen nor heard anybody that is more SLOPPY and SHAMELESS than these people!

From service, raw material, execution, everything was an awful experience that I DO NOT wish anyone else to experience. Don't even try to proof me right, waste your money somewhere else!

If anyone knew where the original owner moved to, please let me know! I'll beg them to come back, not only to bring back the good old "Japanese-Styled" Osaka Kappo to our community, but also preventing this well reputed name being ruined by these rude people!
