I hadn't been to the Pearl of the Orient in Van Aken in 15-20 years. We were looking for a place for dinner that our friends hadn't been to. The service was terrible and the waitress inept. There was no apology given for our food not being served in close to an hour. Our waitress seemed to have disappeared as well. I guess the hostess / manager didn't feel an apology was called for. So we walked out and went down the street to a very good Mexican place.
