I went to the Pearl Lounge on the night of 3-13. I paid my tab ($16.00) using my credit card. A week later, I noticed on my credit card statement that there were two charges to my card from Pearl Lounge: the aforementioned $16.00 charge on 3-13, and another charge for $19.50, dated 3-14.
I called my credit card company to dispute the charge, and they told me that the transaction record states that my card was present at the time of the charge. Obviously, it is fraudulent.
I have read a complaint on another website that a patron had opened a tab a Pearl Lounge (which requires them holding your credit card), and then paid the tab in cash, and they charged his card anyway.
It seems the Pearl Lounge is fast and loose with its patrons' credit cards. I am not going back, and I would caution others to stay away, or at least keep you credit card in your wallet.
