I made two deposits each with several checks in them on a Saturday morning.By close of business on Monday, none of the money was available in my account. The checks were local and with a couple of exceptions under $400. When I called to inquire, they explained that checks are not processed until Monday night. When I asked if I had written a check today whether it would have been "processed" the answer is of course it would be. So it seems that next time, I need to cash the checks in the bank and then deposit them as cash so that I can have access to at least some of my money!!!
