I applied for a mortgage for a berm home which is typical for a lakefront property since most of them are hill side. Their website clearly states that a berm home is eligible. So after spending hours getting all paperwork together and 475 in appraisal fees they are going to deny the home. Why state you loan on berms if you dont or you hide exceptions. I will blog all over the internet about this as I am out of 475 dollars and at least 20 hours of my time which is worth more than they think I guess. The appraiser even used another berm home as a comparable so why not. I guess if you live in Michigan there isnt a lake that has hillside homes??? My blood pressure is through the roof with this company and their lack of communication unless you pry for information is horrid. Anyone who reads this stay clear of false advertisers
