Put Payment on Hold, took money from our account without additional info

On monday october 15 somebody purchased an item from us. The buyer paid $1,390.00 via Pay Pay.

We received an email from Pay Pal with the details of the payment, saying that we can ship the items, that the shipping address of the buyer was a confirmed address and that everything was OK.

Since we are Top Rated Selles, eBay requieres you to ship same of next day in order to maintain this status. So we shipped out the items the day we received the payment. Everything was OK. 4 days later, on thursday oct. 15, we received an email from Pay Pal saying that the payment of $1,390.00 was on hold because may be it was a payment not authorized by the buyer.

They send this message 4 days AFTER we received the payment, by that time the buyer was almost receiving the item. So we can't use this money, and not we don't have the items nor the money.

I got in touch with the buyer, he already received the items and even left positive feedback on ebay. He said that Pay Pal blocked his account, that the money he paid was taken from his account, but at least he has the items he bought. It's been a week, and Pay Pal has not responded to us.

This is totally unfair, specially with a seller who has bee using eBay/pay pal for over 8 years. The buyer didn't opened a dispute nor asked pay pal to open a dispute, this is a pay pal thing. They are investigating because "they think"...
