Loan officer Robert Lee of Home Loan Center Told me that he could get me a 30 year fixed rate loan and get my loan locked in at 5.75%, But first I had to pay a $600 lock in fee to get that rate guranteed. He also said the $600 would be taken off the cost of the loan the total cost of the loan would be$3,431.00 minus the $600. The loan would pay off my existing mortgage $112,000 and i would get $20,000 cash out. Payments would be $789.00 a month. I sent him all the information he asked forthe day I locked it in except my taxes for witch my C.P.A. Failed to give me a copy of. I had a very hard time catching my C.P.A. Who only does it part time. I explained this to him and told him I have copys of my taxes for every year back to 1987 and I also have the last two years of bank statements if that would work? No has to have the taxes, thats all he needs and we can close. After ten days of stopping by my now former C.P. As office I finealy got my 2003 taxes. I fax it right over. I get my good faith estimate my total estimatedsetelment charges are $3,530.10 other estimated setelment charges are $3,487.50. Estimated monthly payment is $828.43, And now the need me to get a letter from my non existing C.P.A. Stateing that he has filed my taxes for the past two years and I am self employed. Well his office got flooded and he can't axcess his flooded computer. Now they tell me my lock in is expired and in order to finish the loan I will have to get another at my expence. I'm now working with Novastar on getting another loan at a better rate with no lock fee. I'm still out the $600. How can I get it back?
