First Horizon
Lost payments, incompetence abounding! Rip-off!

This message is to inform all prespective and current clients of First Horizon or First Tennesse Bank of the unethical practices this company practices in. I have been a current client, if you call it that, of First Horizon for the past two months. They have picked up the servicing of a previous Home Equity line of credit. I have been in their billing system for the past two months. First Horizon is not honoring / placing payments to the account at the appropriate time.

The first payment for my HELOC was due on 09/1/04, the payment was mailed to them directly in their own remitance envelope on 8/07/04,26 days before payment would be due. The payment was posted to the account late on the 29th of that month. This was only after I called to inquire why the check had not cleared, I was informed that I was on the bottom of the pile (big pile if it takes 26 days to get to me) and they could assist in moving me up so my payment would not be late, hence a late fee they would naturally tack onto my account.

In order to avoid this problem in the future I inquired about paying my bill online through their website, since they advertise themselves as the little to no hassel lender. I was told they will ABSOLUTELY NOT allow for online payment for a Home Equity Line of Credit.instead I would have to make payment via check. So in order to avoid this problem again I sent my next payement to them on 9-3 for my Payment due October 1st. I expected them to process and apply my payment quickly and correctly. After examining my bank statement, it appears they never posted payment to the account.

So literally five minutes ago I got off the phone with the 5 representatives, none of whom knew anything that was going on they attempted to get me to make a payment via phone.By the way if you were wondering about the check, they "lost" it. Did I mention that they attempted to rip me off to the tune of 10 dollars for making a payment via phone. I can 100% say that this company is incompotent and has Ocwen/Fairbanks practices of applying payments to account. I would encourage any whom have had similar problems with this company to reply to this page. I myself will be exploring options of refinancing my HELOC to get away from these people, they obviously do not need my business or anyone elses.
