I asked for 2 $50.00 gift card on Christmas for my daughter and my mom.instead I was sold a money visa cards.
They didnt work in Puerto Rico. My brother covered for me and gave them the money instead. He sent them to me a few months after. The cards didnt worked in the US either. The managers of the Sterling Walmart told me the cards were defective and that I was entitled to my money. I called 3 times the GE Money Bank. One of the managers at the Bank was Andrea, she was rude and cruel. She said she was the manager, She said I am not going to return your money. I am the Manager and nobody else is going to do differently. I went to Walmart again to use it and they didnt worked even though the manager was using the exact amount as I was told. I called the GE BAnk again and same thing until I gave up. I asked for a refund. But not the original amount because the Bank charged $3 monthly for maintenance fee. (whatever this means). I ended up getting half of the money. Walmart made a mistake selling me a money card visa instead of a gift card. Walmart according to the Manager at the GE Bank didnt use the card correctly as a credit first. And then, for the exact amount. Walmart told me the card was defective 4 times. The GE Bank abbused their authority over the phone. But even under these circumstances I ended up losing half of my money. This is ridiculous, but again the Big Fish always swallows the small one. Hopefully someone will hear and do something about it.
