I'm writing to complain about the "Great" customer service that Allied Interstate has. I am referencing a billing from Public Storage I had over a year ago. Since, I have had many unfortunate circomstances that has had my money and mind elsewhere. I have gone through a lengthy divorce and back in October my 7 year old son was diagnosed with cancer.
I totally disregarded my belongings and my responsibility about the rental space with Public Storage. My account was handed over to Allied Interstate who is now trying to collect my debt. I understand the need of companies like Allied Interstate to collect debts from people, however, they need to show a little compasion for those who are really in need. Allied Interstate has never sent me a piece of mail with any information about how much I really owe.
My belongings were sold at auction before handing my account over to Allied. I would like to have a piece of paper stating how much was obtained from this auction and creditted to my account. I called Public Storage a coule of times but I have yet to get assistance with this. I realize that I may owe this bill, but as I am in a bit of a financial bind, I would like to know for sure if this bill is valid, and second how much this bill is for. Is this really too much to ask? I want to make arrangements to pay this bill, but I need documentation first.
