Capital one refused to lower my finance charges and minimum payment of $130. I had surgery 6/24/04, was raped 7, and had another surgery 8/04. I had a good standing with Capital One before 6/04 and I requested help with the Hardship Dept.
Capital one's hardship dept still didn't assist me because I needed for my account to be lowered in interest rates, finance charges, and I could only afford a minimum monthly payment of $50. I could not pay anything due to disability and surgeries. Capital one forced me to terminate my account against my will when I needed to negotiate a $50 a month payment for 6 months at least. I could not get employment or work and when I got the credit card I had income however I had multiple traumas this year from 6/04 and 8/04. The customer service with Capital One is terrible. I pay all my payments online so I have not had any late fees.
