In my attempt to rebuild my credit I found the USA Shopping Club platinum credit card offer online. I became interested and contacted the company for more information.
It was explained to me that I could utilize the card to build my credit score and that I would be able to purchase various types of merchandise from their online product catalog.
I was informed that I could purchase anything on the website once I paid a $79.99 membership fee with an additional $20 free for a special promotional program.
The money was deducted from my account. It was approximately 10 days before I received the card.
I entered the website and the first things I saw in big bold letters was Bargain Basement Blowout - "DUE TO DRASTIC PRICE REDUCTION - SALE ITEMS MUST BE PAID IN FULL AT CHECKOUT"
I went all through the site and almost everything on the site was considered a sale item. Except for a cheap looking $35 tee-shirt, a purse that was $44, etc.
I was very upset. I sent them an email letting them know that I did not appreciate their false advertisement. I explained to them that I have a real Visa card and if I had known that I was spending my money for nothing then I would have bypassed their offer.
I received an email response asking me to call Customer Service and voice my complaint.
