I am writing in the hope that someone will investigate the shady and deceptive mortgage lender i am dealing with. We had been lied to when we got this loan. Changed payment amount and wait until you are at the signing in front of notary. Lied about what the final loan amount would be. Found out later that they lied about fico score which was higher than what they claimed and would not produce the credit report. The appraiser who came to the home stayed by his car and never looked at anything and when i called the lender and told them what he did they didn't care. Constant mailings to intice you into another loan. When we did the stupid thing and got a second with high interest they said we could refinance in 6 months when score became a little higher. That was a lie. Now, my husband is about to lose his job. His company is shutting down due to the economy. We have been trying since feb to contact these people and the first one i talked to was rude and hateful so i hung up so i could possibly talk to someone else. That person said there was nothing they could do. You cannot get a compatent person to answer the phone and cannot get a question answered. I have emailed hsbc since beneficial/hfc have no email contact and i get emails back saying they will contact me by mail. No mail comes. So i faxed hsbc a letter of how frustrated i was and about the upcoming job loss and company letter of termination due to shut down. A few days before the fax i made a mortgage payment online so 3 days after my fax i went on beneficial and hfc's web site to check the account statements to make sure payment was made and there in bold red letters saying i can no longer access my accounts and to call this number. I call the number and again its customer service in india. Janesh said my accounts are blocked because of my fax. He could not give any number to call. There must be some secret as to why they guard there numbers and this finance company wants no contact with you. This treatment is outrages and makes me so angry that they can get away with this. They hold all the cards. They suck the life out of people and make you so stressed that there is no good quality of life. I have wrote to the senator of my state of california, congresswomen mary bono mack, bbb, ftc, fox news, abc news, consumer affairs, and now this site. Everyone who has been scammed by these people, all of us need to do something to fight these crooks.
