To All,
A little proactive consumer complaints here.
I was just watching a news item. It is about scammers leaving messages on your phone answering machines. They make it sound as if they are leaving a message for someone that used to have that phone number... They then leave a stock "tip" hoping that you will think that it is legitimate and you now have some valuable "inside" information.
In actuality, what they do is look for low priced stocks, buy into them and then leave these messages all over the nation, hoping that it will boost the price of the stock that they can then dump them.
Another one that is related is a stock tip "newsletter" that is sent to fax machines.
Good Luck
and Beware
