On August 19. There was an unauthorized $87.00 check paid from my checking account at Bank of America. On August 24 at the bank web site I noticed the fraud I obtained a pre-view of the check and printed it. This fraud check was to be paid to Prime Benefits and it has my address on it but it is not signed but instead my last name printed.
I never authorized this charge and I have never heard of Prime Benefit or have any idea what they do besides rip people off. The check has the number 1-800-8622026 which is allways busy.inmediatelly I call the bank to report the fraudulent activity and they suggested me to closed the account and open a new one which is very inconvenient due to direct deposit I received into that account. I decided to investigate this company on the web and found that I was one of many victims of FRAUD by PRIME BENEFITS company all of them by the same amount of money.
This company shoud be subject to a federal investigation for criminal activities. Also bank security shoud improve, i. E, signature in the checks shoud be verified by comparing to signature in file, check number should be from the actual checkbook from the owner of the account, etc.
