On June 29th I met with Roger Radcliff, a rep of JK Harris recovery systems in Gadsden Alabama.
I explained to Mr. Radcliff that I was buying a home and my credit was good except when I started to close on my home, the mortgage company found a tax lien from back in 1981 from the state of Georgia.
I explained to Mr. Radcliff that I did not need financial councel that I needed help clearing up the tax problem, and that was all I needed.
Mr. Radcliff assured me that if I pay him $390 up frount and $70 a month for 10 months, JK Harris would help me clear up this matter.
I asked Mr. Radcliff if anything else came up, how much more would it cost me? The reply was, "this will cover anything and everthing that might come up.
I sign the contract and 24 hours later a Rep called and welcomed me to the company and told me the name of the rep I would be assigned to.
I talked to an Andrianna and explained to her my tax problem. She informed me that unless I pay $300 more that I couldn't be represented by one of their tax lawyers, that cost extra.
I demanded a refund but she told me there was no way I was getting one but she had a Jim McComas to call me.
Jim informed me that he was not a tax lawyer but would ask around the office for some info on how to handle the case.
I told him I needed help right away because my construction loan on my home was due and I couldn't close until this tax problem was cleared up.
Mr. Mccomas did speak with his supervisor and they told me to contact the State of Alabama to get copies of my tax returns to prove I was a resident of Ala.in 1981,
This information was completely useless because Alabama no longer had those records.
I was completely miss represented from day one, Mr. Radcliff has to know that I would have to pay $300 extra to get help from them with my tax problem and Mr. Mccomas knew he was not qualified to help me with any tax problems and his supervisor
knew Mr. Mccomas was not qualified.
JK Harris did absolutely nothing to help me.
The first time I demanded a refund was within the 3 day period when I spoke with Andreanna and was denied the second time I demanded a refund I was told to put it in writing and fax them a copy, which I did, to no avail.
These people are rip off artist and if anyone else out there has been ripped off, please post a message, I'd like to hear from you.
