Booked 7.5 ton truck more than 1 month ago moving our own goods to Ukraine. Paid an extra £150 traveling abroad and they assured us it will definitely cover Ukraine wich is outside EU. 2 weeks later they phoned up and said that we have to pay extra £450 to get insurance to Ukraine, so we paid. When truck was delivered from the owner of the truck (not A1 National rental) it was no rent agreement and no insurance covering Ukraine! After hundreds of phone calls to A1 National they send us a rent agreement by e-mail but again no insurance. Kept on fobbing us off all eveninig and next day telling us that: they send policy documents by e-mail could not understand why its did not came through, they will send a fax— no fax, even Stuard promised that he will give me his e-mail with his password so i can printed out documents from his file, then he said he can not send me documents as insurance company did not provided breakdown help line outside EU! Kindly Stuard gave us Breakdown cover number from RAC when we phoned them up they said this cover not exist!!! Reported this as a fraud to our bank, also reported to actionfraud webside. Just a few minets ago Stuard rang us with his appologies for not providing an insurance as they can not find any company who give us cover to Ukraine!
All this time we were deling with con artists and outcome is: we paid £2134, booked a ferry £300, have to leave our property today as another tenants moving in tomorrow, and now have to pay for all hundreds of phone calls.
We wish them all to be in the same situation at least once in their lifes.
Anyone thinking of hiring from this company take our advice and steer well clear!
