I had a a similar experience to others on this site. Van turned up 2 hours late to start with. They took a £500 deposit, and kept on fobbing me off with reasons for not returning it and ignoring phone calls and emails. I eventually (3 months down the line) reported this as fraud to my bank, and they sorted it out for me and got the money back (I think under a visa fraud protection scheme - so they might not have been able to do this if I hadn't paid by visa)
