I too have had dealings with OCWEN. Upon reading all the reports from other people who have had dealings with this company, I'm wondering if the other shoe will drop for me.
Due to unfortunate circumstances with my job cutting our paychecks back by over $300/week, trying to make ends meet got me behind on my mortgage payments.
Upon many calls to OCWEN, I was told if I sent them $9,526.51 my loan would be reinstated and caught up. I sent the bank check via USPS express mail to FL which they signed for the next day. I held my breath for 3 days checking the site daily to see of anything had changed with my account.
I noted that the payment was applied accordingly and the next payment is April for the amount I have been paying all along. My unpaid principle balance to date is $15,735.53. Right now I fear somehow something would happen to enable them to do something shady since I have over $350,000 equity in my home. Come heck or high water, I will make darn sure my payments will continue to be timely to not give them any opportunity to put me through the things I have read on here that they've done to so many others.
I've gone over the figures with a fine tooth comb to find each digit was applied accordingly without any error. This should have me thrilled to no end, but upon reading all the negative dealings done by them, I don't know if I should remain confident and feel secure about it all going smoothly. This company scares me more than anything in this entire world.
My heart breaks for every single person who has lost their home wrongly. I just pray that one day the rug isn't pulled out from under me now that everything seems to be in order with my account.
I hope the Government will somehow get involved and make all this wrong right for the citizens of this country who are now battling a masked demon in another country.
