HomEq lied to us and tried to get money that is not owed to them. HomEq tried to charge us late fees on payments made to them by a bankruptcy trustee, while we were in bankruptcy. They knew this was against the law because it forced us into bankruptcy again and when they seen the courts were involved, they cut the arrearage by more than half of what they were trying to get out of us. We wouldn't have had to go back into chapter 13 if they had been truthful with what they could charge us in the first place.
