I first had contact with this company through their sales rep. I was already working with a good company recommended by my bank. The sales rep for Summit Merchants came in and gave me all kinds of reasons to switch, promising lower rates and better results, easier to read statements. Promised if I went with Merchants, I would be more than pleased. I was talked into making the change and while I was signing the paperwork, the sales rep talked constantly, distracting me from reading what I was signing. If I ever have to do that again, I'll be sure to read all the paperwork while the sales rep is out of the office, gone... Away from me. I was told there would be no closing fees if I decided to close the account in the future. That was a lie. I wasn't told of the 3 year contract either. My business had to close after just one year and they would not work with me to cut the $595.00 they charge for early termination down any. I feel I should have been able to pay 1/3 of the fee as I had been a customer for 1 year. Not an option. They are scammers, all the way through. Not a good company, Lesson learned. My fault for trusting a company in Texas. All my own fault but they are still a company not to trusted. I am saying beware.
