My wife and I went to instant tax service in Rochester ny january 9th. They're ad said guaranteed loans up to $1000.00 when filing your taxes. We filed with our last pay stubs and were told they could download our W-2's. We only received $50.00 for the loan up front. We were lacking one of my pay stubs so i brought it to them a week later.
We weren't told how much they were going to charge us and we didn't even get copies of what our return was. We kept calling, they said our information was submitted and accepted form the IRS. When I called the IRS they had no information for me.
It is now the 23rd and we have been calling everyday and we are either getting hung up on or they tell us to cal back withing the day or the next day.
The only information I received from them was from the 50.00 loan and on there they got my social security number wrong. When we asked them about it they said that they caught it and fixed it before submitting to the IRS.
One minute my wife is being told that we would receive our refund by February 3rd and when i called they told me January 26th. I am really concerned here with all the different answers and feel something is seriously wrong. We aren't getting any answers from them.
We needed this money back when they promised it due to car repairs and other bills, I feel like we were duped. I'm going to wait until the 26th and if I don't have our refund at that point i'm going to call the better business bureau, attorney general and A lawyer!
