I made the innocent mistake of putting my rent check in with my Capital One payment and my Capital One payment in my rent envelope. Capital One cashed the check that was not made out to them. Before I knew that Capital One had cashed the check, I replaced the rent check so when my landlord went to deposit my rent check, it bounced along with other checks that had been written causing $228.00 in bank fees.
Capital One said that they would credit my bank account for the $650.00 within 48 hours... It was not done. They refused to pay for the bank fees an now I can't get a hold of anyone. They keep giving me the run around, transferring me to all of these different people in which none of them are helping me in ANY way, whey I ask for a number to call a person back, they are giving me wrong numbers. I finally got hold of a manager Diane Logan and she did the absolute same thing... Gave me the run around. She told me that my $650.00 would be credited by the end of the day, here it is three days later and it still hasn't. She also asked me to fax her a letter from the bank with the fees incurred and I did and she now refuses to return my phone calls.
No one will help me, they will not transfer me to any supervisors and they are extremely rude! They must realize that it is illegal to cash a check that is not made out to them. I guess what they don't realize is that I will not go away and they will give me my money back, ALL of it. I don't even owe them $650.00!!
