Vanderbilt took 1619.82 from our checking account December 1st. 2011. They were only supposed to take 809.91. We just bought this place and have not been late with anything! I received their monthly loan statement saying that the mortgage was only 809.91. I went to my bank (Suntrust) and the people at Suntrust was very helpful in trying to negotiate with Vanderbilt for us. Vanderbilt says it needs a letter of guarntee from Suntrust and the Representitive told Vanderbilt they could not do that. This was a debit out of my checking account and would have caused several things to bounce but Suntrust was nice enough to forgo all NSF charges. I talked to Hollie on Saturday December 3rd 2011 at the 1-800-970-7250 ext. 2161 and she told me to fax in the transaction record and they would refund 809.91 in 2 or 3 business days. I called today Monday December 5th and talked to Mark at Vanderbilt at 1-800-970-7250 ext. 2929 and he told us if we didnt submit a letter of guarntee we would not get the money back until December 23. I had written other bills off my checking account and this caused my account to go -244.00 but thank goodness Suntrust didnt charge any NSF charges. I had to borrow money off of 2 credit cards to put in the account today. What a mess!!!
