Promised me a loan modification for my mortgage

I called a phone number advertised on tv which showed a company that would get me a loan modification instead of going into foreclosure. When i called, i had an interview with a man that said i was pre-approved for a loan modification that would 1) add the past due balance of my mortgage to the back of my loan, 2) lower my interest rate and 3) would lengthen my loan from a 15 year to a 20 year loan making the monthly payment more affordable. I sent them $1500 initially and then two more payments of $750 for a total of $3000. I have a large personal file with them with all correspondence back and forth printed and retained. Back on January of I was asking for answers for the loan modification I had applied for and was told that everything was being reviewed. I also received a letter dated 1-10 stating that I may have received upsetting information from a disgruntled employee of their's, but not to worry. That probably should have been my first clue that something was amiss with this company.

It is now November - not only do I not have a loan modification, i have received more foreclosure notice from the bank and any emails i try to send to njs is instantly returned as an unidentifable account. I have a signed letter from a Bill Bailey, signed as owner, stating their good positive faith in all that they promised. I have sent them all documentation they have asked for on a monthly basis and now i have no answers and am in bigger trouble with my mortgage. How can i get my money back and how can i make them accountable for this fraudulent act? Please answer and give me a positive direction to pursue! Thank you
