I recieved a call from Our human resource dept Yesterday that "James" a process server needed my Phone number address and, my work schedule, to serve me with court papers of course she declined to give that information he then called the dept were i work and proceeded to give the same BS threats to one of my co workers who happens to be a good friend of mine. James went on to harrass my friend because she wouldnt give him my info and he said he would call everyday until i answered the phone.
She then asked for his name and phone number he wouldnt give it to her. He also told my friend that he needed to serve me with the papers within the week. I got the number from our hr dep 877-309-5499 and a summons number right away i knew it was BS cause in the county I live in A courtcase number starts in either CV FL C. So i called the number and spoke with a Patrick I told him and his company to off and to never call my work again cause it was illegal. He then told me that in my state of CA they can call to verify employment I said ok but thats not what there company did. I told him they demanded my work schedule, phone number, address etc. I then repeated my statement to off.
He then told me to come down to the office and face him like a man and we could settle it I said ok give me your address ill be right over. He just hung up on me. I think they wanted to scare me into paying this debt so they could reset the SOL 'cause its gonna be up in a few months the debt is from my ex wife! Needless to say im not stupid and they dont scare me at all and dont let them do that to you too stand your ground theres a lot of fraud out there.
