So I just received a letter in the mail. The letter appeared to be a legitimate "court ordered" document, claiming that I owed a sum of money to this collection agency. At this point, I'm thinking, "What the heck is this?"
As I read the contents of the letter. I see that this collection agency is threatening to record a JUDGEMENT against me if I don't respond within the next 10 days.
"Who the heck are these people?" I go along with it. I call GC Services Limited Partnership at the listed telephone number on the letter.
A cheeseball recorded voice exclaims, "This call will be monitored and recorded." [I roll my eyes] A women answers the phone. I inform her that I received a notice in the mail from GC Services claiming that I have a debt with them. She tells me that I have an outstanding debt due to a traffic violation.
She immediately TELLS me, "We're gonna need $750 right now." The fireworks are about to begin. I ask her (an a polite manner), "Who is GC Services? And why didn't I receive any notification from the Superior Court in regard to this matter?"
She immediately goes off. "You'll wire transfer the money through Western Union right now, or would you like to spend some time behind bars?"
Now I'm thinking... This has got to be a scam. There is no way that a Superior Court would hire lunatics like these people on any offense, much less this "imaginary traffic violation."
She's still blabbing away. Uh, oh. It looks like it's become rhetorical question time..."Do you enjoy your driving privledge?" and "I'll have your license revoked." and "Do you feel like riding around town on a bicycle?"
- OKAY, now this mental-case went too far... Yet she continues..."Just don't be stupid, and pay up. We'll take your money if you don't give it to us."
Alright, I've had about enough of this b*tch. "Jen, what's your companies web site?" - thinking to myself that this is one of the most malicious and immoral scams I've seen to date. She gives me a fake web address of www.gcservices.com, which I later found out. (oh, it get's shadier)
Quite frankly, I'm getting sick of the quotations, so I'm just going to sum it up. I ask for the manager who is text-book psychotic. I explain to Mr. Delavega, that his employees are ruder than all hell, and that the company seems entirely fraudulent. Therefore I'm not complying with their bend-you-over-and-rape-you business practice.
Nope, he didn't like that one bit. As profanity blairs into my ear, I've decided that I'm done conversing with these barbaric freaks. So I hang up on him.
I go to the computer and find out that the website is entirely fake. Www.gcservices.com is an entirely different corporation!
I call back caller ID blocked and once again ask (this time a male) what the company website is. I'll gladly quote this. He replies, "Uhhhhh, I think it's like www.gcservice.com. Uh no, wait, i dunno it's some shit like that, hold on... WAIT! Gimme your drivers license number."
No, I don't think I'm holding on and I sure as hell am NOT givin this guy my DL #... I hang up on him and I go and find it myself. A search on the company brings up complaint, after complaint, after complaint.
A message from me, to the circus act:
GC SERVICES LIMITED PARTNERSHIP - I hope that YOU ALL find content the fiery pits of hell for eternity.
