My boyfriend received a collection notice from GC Services Limited Partnership Collection Agency Division October 2, stating that he owed $694.00 to the Fairfield Superior Court that the California's Department of Motor Vehicles had assisted them in locating him. I researched the claim through the Solano County Fairfield Superior Court and there was an action filed in 1991 against a person with the same name but it was and is not my boyfriend.
I want to know if any one else has been misidentified by this company and also want to know if it is legal for the Department of Motor Vehicles to assist in locating someone for a non-related to D.M. V collection.
Would like to know how and to whom we contact to clarify that they are contacting and acting against the wrong person and prove it.
