(Financial) Ripoff Stop the harassment

NCO routinely and OPENLY violates the FDCPA. Last year alone they had more than 40 laswuits for voilation of the FDCPA filed aginst them. They don't care, they're a $500 million dollar per year company.

THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE BUT ONE SUGGEStION ON HOW TO STOP THEM: They are agents for every credit card company for which they collect. (If you have an account that is more than 6 mo. Delinquent, this infomration may not pertain to you.) If you are simply behind on a credit card and a collection ageny is harssing you by phone, it used to be you could mail them an FDCPA 'Cease and Desist' letter. Nowadays, places like 'Card Services' will not give you their their corporate address.instead they tell you to send evrything to a drop box or to the company for whom they are collecting. Perfect. This is extremely important. You send, via certifed mail, the FDCPA letter to the CEO and corporate officers of the credit card at the address found within the state where the conpany is incorporated. Usually, you can get this info directly on-line from the state's Secretary of State. (You need to get the 'Registered Agent's' address for the coproation from the Secretary of State. Almost always available for free, on-line.)

A collection agent is an 'agent' of the corporatioin for whom they are collecting. And this means the credit card company is ultimately responsible for the collection agency's actions. You inform EVERY corporate offide at the very top (CEO/Pressident, VP, etc) that your rights under the FDCPA are routinely and egregiously being violated by THEIR collection ageny (doesn't matter whether the crecit card company owns the collection agency or not, the ciollection agewncy is collecting on the credit company's behalf). Furthermore, since the collection agency will not respect your rights, and is harassing you on a regular baisis, you will HOLD THE OFFICERS of the corporation directly accountable for any future violation by the collection agency of your rights under the FDCPA. And they have now officially been put on notice (certified mail, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED) so that if you are forced to take action, they can't hide behind the excuse that they weren't aware of the collection agency's violation of the law.

Collection make too much money to stop harrassing you. It seems that until they change their, ways, the only way to get back is go after their clientle directly. The clientel hire, them the clienetle can fire, them. Or at least make them shape up.
