I read about this job ad in the local Community paper. I called 1-866-537-2907 to research some work at home information to work with HUD/FHA refunds with the government. I thought it was legitimate because it with through the government.
They asked for a one time fee of $98 over the phone check only. I lights should have went off there, but they said it was refundable at the end of 3 months if I decided I didn't like the job. The job entails searching over the internet finding address of people that are due HUD mortgage refunds. I decided that I didn't think I could do it. I called back that evening and the hours of operation are 6:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. Well, when I first called, I talked to Erica at 6:00pm on Monday, April 5.
I called back Tuesday, April 6 @ 6:30am and just got the voice mail of there hours of operation. Well, I tried to call at 7:30am, 8:00am, 8:30am, 9:00am etc and still, no answer from a human being. Well I decided to call my bank and put a stop payment on my check that I had post dated for a future date. I just don't want anyone else to get ripped off. I did go on the internet and searched for JMW Financial Services and came across this web page about how someone was ripped off with the HUD refund scam. That's when I decided to call my bank and stop payment on my check.
