Rip off! Overcharges, doesn't post pymnts on time

My husband opened an account with FCNB 5 years ago. I have always sent in 100.00 pymnts even when my min pymnt due was about 35.00 and for a while the balance was going down a bit. But the interest on the card is too high. Eventually we got our balance down and kept making pymnts to try and pay it off.

Then we started receiving bills that pymnt was late, eventually those 35.00 late fee accumulated from a 1,000.00 balance it came up to 2,600.00 and kept going up because of 35.00 late fee and then they charged an overlimit fee also of 35.00 and all this time we had been sending pymnts of 100.00 or 200.00. Finally we paid off the credit card last month in full, and they still sent a statement this month for the min 5.00 interest on the account, when the card isnt active because the company is out of business, and has been for 2 years!!!

I wish there was something we could do to get at least some of our money back, I dont think they should be able to charge that high interest and all those fees if the company went bankrupt.

If there is a way to sue them I would like to be included. I finally got someone over the phone at 866-475-1434. I did speak to someone, she was actually pleasant she said she would waive the fee and cancel the card, and send me a letter to confirm. Now I will just wait to see if it will happen.
