Added fees after account closure

I called to close my CitiBank Master Card account in November; got the account balance and was told the account was closed, $0 balance. No problem, right? WRONG!!! Last week I started getting Robodial calls. The ones where you pick up and get a recorded message saying they can't talk to you now but you need to call them about your account (there should be a law against these, but I digress). It turns out, a "residual" interest charge was added to my account after closure and had been building up compound interest and late fees since November! A bit of background... I had signed up for online statements. Well, once you close an account, you can no longer access online statements so I was not receiving any statement from Citi indicating that my account had a balance. Well, the lovely lady I ended up talking to was "gracious" enough to waive the late fees, but insisted that I had to pay the original interest as well as the compounded interest that had been building up since November!!! When I told her I did not receive any statements she basically called me a liar and said that there wasn't anyone in the company that would remove the interst charrges!!! In an effort to retain my good credit standing I paid their demands but want everyone possible to know what horrible customer service they will potentially receive if they open a CitiCorp credit card account!!!
