I was on an extended trip and did not get to my mail for a few months, in the meantime, BB&T Bank changed their policy for checking/saving accounts&a minium ballace of $1500 was needed to avoid a service charge of $10/mo-which they charged me. They said that this policy was in a previous monthly statement - I never saw it—even if it was there, it was not obvious—eg. Like on a separate sheet of colored paper. I was charged for two months—after complaining, one month's penalty was removed. I told the bank that I am closing the account and am in the process of doing so. They did not seemed concerned about their loss of business by keeping a long term customer satisfied.
