When I became ill in January I had an account in good standing with Lowes (GE Money Bank). As a result of my illness, I lost my job and could not pay the amount required by GE Money Bank. I could barely pay for my health care and other basic needs. Yet, I was treated like a criminal. Those calling my home were rude and would not agree to anything less than the total amount due. Finally, because stress only made my illness worse, I avoided them. Periodically, I received a call or returned a call, but their contact was always rude and non-compromising. Afterward I just decided to wait and see if they would ever contact me with reasonable terms for repayment. It never happened. Now, they have a lawsuit against me. Even with the lawsuit, I have no idea what they expect me to pay without a payment plan that fits my budget.
