My ex-husband fild for bankrupcy two years ago. I was unaware my name was on his captial one visa credit card. I have never ownd capital one credit card, never used one for a signle transaction. I made several calls to Capital one to resolve this matter, but it proven totally useless. I wanted a copy of the application to actually see if my name was on it, Captial one never provided me a copy. I was told I can not ask for it, my ex has to.
I asked for proof of any use of this account in my name, of course, nothing from this company. My life has been so adversely affected by this unresolved capital one problem. I used to have excellent credit prior to this. I wasn't able to refinance my house for lower interest rate. I can use all the help as a singel mother of two children. Now my 16-year old son wants to work and I wasn't able to qualify for a small car loan because of this significant credit blemish Capital one has caused in my life. I really need help and guidance in resloving this stressful and difficult problem.
