I got a phone call from Camco today stating I owed $6500 from 1987. Of this amount $3500 was interest. I stated I knew nothing of this account. They continued to try to get me to state that I would pay $1600 before the end of the month to settle the account. They wanted a check over the phone to be held.
I told them I do not give out blank checks over the phone and that I knew nothing about the supposed unpaid account. They stated that they will have their attorney take me to court if they do not recieve the money by the end of February.
I requested that they send the information regarding said account to me that as far as I was concerned this could be a scam. That all I had was some guy on the phone telling me to pay up or else. I then went on line to check out the company and address that they gave me and that is how I came to this site.
I was amazed at the number of complaints against CAMCO were here.
