We have a home loan with Chase. We over pay on our payment every month. So if you can imagine Chase has no idea why we over pay and so the extra money is in a "holding pattern".. Now what kind of dummy would do that? I had thought bank people were a little smarter? Guess I was wrong. I further called Chase today to try and convey that the extra money needed to be applied to the principal (dah). IT TOOK ME 30 MINUTES BEFORE I COULD TALK TO A LIVE PERSON!!! And I think I had to lie, so I could talk to a real perosn! All the animated stuff does NOT apply! When I did talk to a real person, it is just plan difficult to deal with "stupid". The loan is in my husband's name. He gave her all the information she asked from him. I then started talking to let them know what we wanted to do with the overplayment. Oh well then I had to confirm the address of the home, give my full name, etc. All to just to convey what to do with the overpayment. Apply it to the principal... Wow. Large BANKS have the worst CUSTOMER SERVICE practices..
