I have had the recent misfortune of dealing with Arrow Financial Services. On November 10 I received a letter from them stating they had "purchased" my Retailers National Bank account and as the new owners they would like to give me a second chance to resolve my outstanding balance. They should've just said "We plan to harass the hell out of you until your balance is paid off!" I receive phone calls from these people at all hours of the day and night and now are calling me at work. Today Peter called to verify my employment. What the hell is that all about? My boss got all pissed off because he thought I had applied for a new job. If I lose my job, they'll never get their money.
I plan to pay my balance, just not as quickly as they'd like me to. Is there any way I can get them to not call me at work? It's embarassing and besides, I'm so busy trying to make the money to pay my bills that I don't have time to talk to these harassing people. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get them to call me only at home (if they must call me) please let me know. They are very ugly, nasty people. Don't they realize that if I had the money I'd pay them. There should be some sort of organization to stop these people from being so mean and hateful.
The thing that really made me angry was the second time I spoke with one of their "friendly representatives" and I explained to her that I was having financial trouble and was going through one of those debt counseling services to help clear things up. She practically laughed at me and said it wouldn't do any good because Arrow Financial doesn't accept any terms those debt counseling companies offer. She asked me if I owned my home and when I said yes, she "suggested" that I take out a second mortgage to pay off my balance. That's when I hung up and I haven't had any peace since. Arrow Financial Services is all about the money. Who cares about the people? Right?
