Have had a checking account with this bank for a number of years. Went to the bank to open a savings acccount along with the checking and was immediately approached to open a line of credit. I have no need for a line of credit, told her so, but she kept after me to open this line of credit as it was no cost to me, it was just there if needed. I declined and she then phoned me and kept at me telling me no cost to me ever, it was just there if something happened and I needed it, it was just a perk from the bank. The only people who received a perk was the lady who sold it to me and the bank. I am a senior and have no use for a line of credit but finally went along with her. After a year I was assessed $90 and went to the back and after much discussion they credited the $90 back to me. I thought things were settled but now I have received a notice that I owe them $410 for closing the account. I never closed the account. I was not told of te $90 charge yearly or if I closed the account for the first 3 years you are assessed $500. The account was never closed. I am stuck with this bank until my 3 years is up on the credit line. This was false representation from the bank. The lady no longer works for the bank. I will not recommend this back to anyone.
