Research revealed that chase bank failed to exercise ordinary customer service

There was a check fraud on my bank account. Someone forged checks and deposit slips and withdrew and deposited money from my bank account. I filed a police report and even before any investigation started on this case, Chase bank sent me a letter saying

"Research revealed that your failure to exercise ordinary care substantially contributed to the making of the forgery. Therefore, your request for reimbursement has been denied"

I have been their customer for 4 years. The amount lost was not that much but this shows their lack of concern for fraud protection to their customers.

Their name is just chase, they do not chase any thieves but let them get away.

I learnt to exercise good care and ended my accounts with chase.
