I also, was taken in by two boys, Ken Brown and P. Wallach. Perhaps these really aren't their names. The Ken Brown boy was the talker and the other one seemed to be learning the ropes. I truly believed them and their story about their trip and the fact that part of my $104.00 payment was a donation. It was dinner time and I even fed these boys when my husband arrived home.
So, readers, I feel doubly used, scammed, and totally embarrassed by this whole mess. My checks were cashed (they required one for each magazine). This was July 20 and it is now September 18 and nothing. One was a gift for my son-in-law and the other for me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and thought I could save and read my magazine while undergoing my chemotherapy treatments.
I honestly felt I was helping these boys in their pursuit of an education and believed their story of trying to better themselves and their lives.
